Avera St. Luke's Hospital is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Team!
This position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment.
This position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment program which helps you pay off your student loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000 from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
This position may be eligible for a $2,500 relocation bonus.

Position Highlights:

- Perform a broad range of laboratory testing in a hospital setting.
- Fully automated, CAP-accredited laboratory.
- Every third weekend and holiday rotation.
- No call involved.
- Staff will be expected to work in the microbiology section primarily with plate reading and culture setup.
- Responsible for supplying inventory, quality control, reagent preparation, etc.
- Initiate and follow through with corrective action as well as manages workflow.
- Communicate laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments, healthcare providers and individuals in both verbal and electronic means.
- Participate in development of procedures, protocols, lab manuals, new instrumentation, lab CQI or other activities as assigned.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year college program or technical school is required.
- Six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred.
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.
